The public is invited to attend the first annual Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting on Thursday, December 22, starting at 6:15 p.m. at Central Park in Market Street in The Woodlands, Tx.
In honor of Chanukah, the Festival of Light, Chabad of The Woodlands is hosting the event called, ""Light the Night.""
Donations are appreciated and admission is free.
Children's crafts and entertainment are scheduled to be included along with traditional Chanukah food featuring fried foods like potato pancakes and doughnuts.
A 9-ft. Menorah (traditional candelabrum) is scheduled to be lit at 7:00 p.m.
Musical performances of Chanukah songs are schedled to immediately follow.
Market Street is located in The Woodlands by luxurious communities like Panther Creek and Sterling Ridge.
