THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Lone Star College-Montgomery music department is excited to welcome founding member of the famed King's Singers, Simon Carrington, to the college to conduct a public choral master class with the LSC-Montgomery Chamber Singers on Tuesday, February 26, at 1 p.m., in the Recital Hall located in the college' Music Hall (Building H). Area high school and college music program students, as well as interested community members are invited to attend.

Carrington, who will be in town working with the Houston Chamber Choir, will be working on various performance and practice techniques with the LSC-Montgomery Chamber Singers as they prepare for the Choir Tour in March.

The LSC-Montgomery Chamber Choir is an audition only group, with all members participating on a choral scholarship. The LSC-Montgomery music department prepares students for careers in music through an intensive two-year field of study in theory, ear training, music history, keyboard skills and private performance lessons. After completing the field of study curriculum at LSC-Montgomery, music majors can transfer credit to any four-year Texas college or university to complete the bachelor's degree in music.
