THE WOODLANDS, TX- The Thanksgiving Day Run Thru the Woods is set to take place at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on Thanksgiving morning.
According to a press release from the South Montgomery County YMCA, "The 2013 event which should attract more than 6,000 participants is both a family event and a serious running event, enticing for the competitive racer, weekend warrior, recreational runner, kids and walkers.
Categories and start times include a competitive 1-mile children’s race presented by Anadarko for ages 12 and younger starting at 7:45 a.m.; a certified 5-mile run presented by St. Luke’s Performance Medicine at 8:15 a.m.; a 3-mile race Presented by Repsol for all ages at 8:25 a.m.; and the 3-mile walk presented by Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation starting at 8:35 a.m."
Registration costs $27 for the the children's race and 3-mile walk, and $35 for the 3-mile run and 5-mile run before Friday, Nov. 15. The cost increases $5 for registrations completed between Saturday, Nov. 15, and Wednesday, Nov. 27. On race day, registration is $42 for the children's race and 3-mile walk, and $50 for the 3-mile run and 5-mile run.
