THE WOODLANDS, TX - PAX, Program of Academic Exchange, has landed in The Woodlands. PAX offers families a cultural exchange experience by hosting an international high school student for the coming academic year in schools in The Woodlands.

PAX is a US high school and homestay program for students from over 40 different countries including Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. PAX students are between the ages of 15 and 18, speak English, have full insurance coverage and their own spending money. Private rooms are not required and single parents, young couples and retirees are welcome to apply.

The Woodlands resident, Sondra McPoland, is currently interviewing families interested in PAX. Families in Montgomery County or as far as a 120-mile radius of The Woodlands, can participate in the program.

PAX host families share their everyday life with their ten month visitor and often build a lasting connection to their student's family abroad.

Program of Academic Exchange is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to increase mutual respect among the people of the world, to foster an appreciation of our differences and similarities, and to enhance our ability to communicate with one another.
