On Thursday, January 14, certified forester and arborist John Ross is the featured speaker at the Walk in The Woods Nature Lecture, The Natives Are Restless: Tree Care and Health, at 7:30 p.m. at L.G.I. Lecture Hall at
McCullough Jr. High School, located at 3800 S. Panther Creek Drive in
The Woodlands, Tx.
Ross, formerly with the Texas Forest Service, is set to highlight selecting, planting and caring for trees in an urban setting.
Ross recommends a range of small to medium trees that add color with fruit, flowers and leaves for compact spaces in residential landscapes. He stated, "Parsley hawthorne is a great small tree."
