The Woodlands Firm, Anadarko, Recognized for Good Deeds

Anadarko Petroleum's corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, Tx has received a 2009 Philanthropy Award.

In conjunction with the Houston Business Journal, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Houston chapter granted the petroleum-based company its Outstanding Large Corporation award.

Anadarko employees invested nearly 24,000 hours in serving schools, families and community projects in 2008, according to this article in the Houston Business Journal.

Also, the company's Volunteers in Action program awards $1,000 grants to the organizations employees volunteer work.

Anadarko operates out of Brazil, Algeria, China, Mozambique, Indonesia, West Africa and many other countries, as well as across the United States. Their corporate headquarters are in The Woodlands.
