For The Woodlands Wildflower Festival Poster contest, entries are now being accepted. In conjunction with The Woodlands Wildflower Festival, the contest is held annually, which will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at
Cochran's Crossing Shopping Center.
Contest entries are to depict a scene from nature in the strength of mind of the Wildflower Festival. Illustrate a preferred scene from nature on heavy, unlined white paper, paper board or canvas, no bigger than 11" X 17". There should be no writing included on the front of the artwork. Favored drawing items are oils, watercolors, pen and ink, crayons, pastels, colored pencils, or markers.
From 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., entries may be turned in at The Woodlands Homefinder Center at 2000 Woodlands Parkway, which is open everyday. Entries will be judged by a panel of artists in
The Woodlands area. The deadline All entries must be entered by Monday, October 5 at 5 p.m. By Thursday, October 8, the winners will be notified.
Sponsoring The Woodlands Wildflower Festival are the merchants at Cochran's Crossing Shopping Center, TWDC and the Community Associations of The Woodlands. Also a participating sponsor is The Brickman Group. Profits from shirt and poster sales at The Woodlands Wildflower Festival will go to The Woodlands Lions Club.
