Celebrations Announced For National Night Out
The Woodlands celebrates National Night Out every year by giving "Neighborhood Crime and Drugs a Going Away Party." This year's celebration includes thrilling new events, including the return of an importance on individual community parties.
Usually held in August, National Night Out in Texas will be held in October to better serve residents during a cooler time of year. This will mark the country's 26th Annual National Night Out Celebration.
To make sure that everyone has a chance to take part, The Woodlands is holding National Night Out on three dates:
Saturday, September 19, 12 - 6 p.m., is the Village Swim Party. A pool in each village will be open with National Night Out activities happening between 1 - 5 p.m. There is free admission to the select pools.
Alden Bridge - Lakeside Pool
Cochran's Crossing - Bear Branch Pool
College Park - Harper's Landing Pool
Creekside Park - Rob Fleming Aquatic Center
Grogan's Mill - Sawmill Pool
Indian Spring - Forestgate Pool
Panther Creek - Ridgewood Pool
Sterling Ridge - Cranebrook Pool
Saturday, October 3, 1 - 5 p.m., is the community-wide festivity at Northshore Park. Safety officials and law enforcement from a variety of associations, including the Harris County Precinct #4, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Conroe ISD Police Department, The Woodlands Fire Department will give public safety demonstrations.
Tuesday, October 6, 5:30 - 8 p.m., is the date of National Night Out in Texas, and the evening for community parties. Residents are encouraged to have National Night Out parties in their communities or at a park close by. By scheduling their party in advance with Neighborhood Services Department, Community Associations of The Woodlands, party hosts will obtain a National Night Out yard sign, games, balloons, and safety information.
